Locally owned. Quietly run.
Rosemary Cottage is a small, locally-owned residential care home in Jersey, supporting people whose lives have been shaped by long-term drug and alcohol dependency.
Started small. Stayed small.
Rosemary Cottage was originally opened in 2017 under LV Care Group, and was purchased by Noel Leonard and Kelly Tyler in 2023 with a simple, heartfelt vision: people in Jersey living with the long-term effects of drug and alcohol issues, together with mental health challenges, deserve specialist, compassionate care without having to leave the island.
Having witnessed too many islanders being sent off-island and losing their connection to home and family, Noel and Kelly decided to create a better alternative. Drawing on Noel’s extensive experience in community drug & alcohol services and CBT rehabilitation, alongside Kelly’s background in adult social care, they opened a small, genuine home in the peaceful parish of St Mary — a place where residents could feel known, safe, and supported.
True to its roots, Rosemary Cottage has deliberately stayed small, with just seven residents. Over the years our approach has gently evolved through a strong partnership with SMART Recovery, giving residents practical tools for lasting change. As a locally owned and run service, “local” means personal: staff know every resident by name, care is truly individual, and the focus remains on dignity, community connection, and helping people rebuild their lives right here in Jersey.
At Rosemary Cottage, the best care has always come from staying small.
Care that begins
with you.
Rosemary Cottage is home for people whose lives have been disrupted by alcohol or substance abuse and mental health challenges, and who need somewhere settled to return home to themselves.
Rosemary Cottage is a small, independent and owner-managed care home for up to seven residents. It is for adults recovering from alcohol or substance related issues and mental health conditions. Our objective is to support residents to be the best version of themselves and to lead happy and fulfilled lives in a beautiful setting. The home is run as a “dry” house, meaning that it is an alcohol and substance free zone, providing the best possible chance of sustained recovery.
Recovery, on
your own terms.
We offer skilled and professional care to enable the individuals living at Rosemary Cottage to achieve their optimum state of health and well-being.
We respect and encourage the individual uniqueness of residents, staff and visitors, and treat everyone with dignity and respect at all times.
“We do not fix people. We make a quiet, steady home where recovery has the time and space it needs.”
