Admissions

How to begin.

There is no single right way to make contact. Many people start with a phone call. Some start with an email. We're glad of either.

01
Initial conversation
A phone call or email to talk through the situation, in confidence and without obligation.
02
Referral & assessment
A formal assessment, drawing on input from the resident, family, and any referring professional.
03
Care plan agreed
A package of care shaped to the individual, agreed before admission.
04
Moving in
A gentle arrival — practical settling-in, slowly meeting the rhythm of the house.
05
Ongoing review
Care is reviewed regularly and adjusted as a person’s recovery progresses.

Is Rosemary Cottage
right for you?

Rosemary Cottage is a residential home for adults recovering from the long-term effects of drug or alcohol abuse and mental health challenges — including Wernicke–Korsakoff’s syndrome.

The home offers medium and long-term care in a stable, abstinence-based environment. It is not a detox unit and is not suited to people who are still actively using drugs or alcohol; we are glad to talk through alternative routes if that is the situation, and to help signpost where we can.

If you are unsure whether Rosemary Cottage is the right fit, please get in touch — a short conversation usually makes things clear, and there is no obligation either way.
